Reiki Classes

Since Reiki is about accepting responsibility for oneself, our health and issues, it is definitely recommended that a Reiki I class be taken as soon as a person feels ready. By doing so, you will be able to tap into the Universal Life Force yourself, thereby, facilitating healing energy for yourself on a daily basis. This is the best way to utilize Reiki's healing ability. "Physician Heal Thyself" is a very powerful statement. While we all wish to help others, the best example we can set is one of accepting responsibility for our own healing.

Reiki takes no special talents and can be learned by everyone, regardless of age, race, belief system or religion. It is everyone's birthright. Reiki has several levels or degrees:

First Degree or Reiki I – In the beginning degree, with a combination of lecture, discussion and experience you will be taught:

• the history of Reiki
• the Reiki principals
• a Reiki self-treatment using all the hand positions
• a Reiki treatment for another using all the hand positions
• the recognition of one’s own healing potential

Reiki I is used for healing of self and others on the physical level. Reiki I is taught in one 8 hour day. A period of 3-6 months is recommended between Reiki I and Reiki II. This allows the body's energy system to become familiar with the Reiki energy and it gives the individual time to use Reiki and adjust to the changes they may be experiencing.

Second Degree or Reiki II – In this degree a more thorough exploration of the Self occurs. This degree is recommended for people who want to become Reiki practitioners, as this empowerment is needed to treat others. The following will be taught:

• the Reiki II symbols and how to use them
• distance healing
• We will do an distance healing session, so I ask that each student bring a picture of someone they wish to do a session on and that they have express permission to do an absentee healing session.

Reiki II is used for healing of self and others on the mental and emotional levels. Reiki II is taught in one 8 hour day. A period of 6-12 months is recommended between Reiki II and Reiki III.

Third Degree or Reiki III – In this degree we explore the fullest expression of healing the Self and others. The following will be taught:

• the Master symbol
• advanced methods
• information on setting up a healing practice.

Reiki III is used for healing of self and others on the spiritual level. Reiki III is taught in 3 classes of 2-3 hours each.

Reiki Master Teacher training –This class is specifically for those who wish to dedicate themselves to Reiki and teaching others this wonderful healing modality. The following will be taught:

• the attunement for each degree
• developing curriculum
• teaching tips.
