Reiki Classes

Since Reiki is about accepting responsibility for oneself and our health and issues, it is definitely recommended that a Reiki I & II class be taken as soon as a person feels ready. By doing so, you will be able to tap into the Universal Life Force yourself, thereby, facilitating healing energy for yourself on a daily basis. This is the best way to utilize Reiki's healing ability. "Physician Heal Thyself" is a very powerful statement. While we all wish to help others, the best example we can set is one of accepting responsibility for our own healing.

Reiki takes no special talents and can be learned by everyone, regardless of age, race, belief system or religion. It is everyone's birthright.



 

Reiki has several levels or degrees:

First Degree or Reiki I – In the beginning degree, with a combination of lecture, discussion and experience you will be taught:

  • the history of Reiki
  • the Reiki principals
  • a Reiki self-treatment using all the hand positions
  • a Reiki treatment for another using all the hand positions
  • the recognition of one’s own healing potential

Reiki I is used for healing of self and others on the physical level. Reiki I is taught in one 8 hour day, though Reiki I & II are most often taught in a two day intensive.

Second Degree or Reiki II – In this degree a more thorough exploration of the Self occurs. The combination of Reiki II with Reiki I give an individual more powerful tools to facilitate a deeper experience of Reiki healing. This degree is recommended for people who want to become Reiki practitioners, as this empowerment is needed to treat others. The following will be taught:

  • the Reiki II symbols and how to use them
  • distance healing for an individual or situation
  • We will do a distance healing session, so I ask that each student bring a stuffed animal (or a picture) to represent someone they wish to do a session on and that they have express permission to do an absentee healing session.

Reiki II is used for healing of self and others on the mental and emotional levels. Reiki II is taught in one 8 hour day, though Reiki I & II are most often taught in a two day intensive.
Prerequisite for Reiki II is Reiki I.

A period of 6-12 months is recommended between Reiki II and Reiki III. This allows the body's energy system to become familiar with the Reiki energy and it gives the individual time to use Reiki and adjust to the changes they may be experiencing.

Advanced Reiki Training (ART) – In this course, we learn a powerful new Master symbol and advanced techniques for the use of Reiki energy. Advanced Level is a good place for those students of other lineages or styles of Reiki who have been at the Reiki II level for some time - and who haven't decided whether they are ready to take the next step into the Master Teacher level. Current Reiki Masters in other lineages/traditions would also find this class very helpful and powerful. The following will be taught:

  • the Usui Master Symbol which increases the effectiveness of the Reiki II Symbols and your Reiki Practice.
  • the Usui Master Symbol Meditation and Attunement which strengthens your Reiki energy.
  • advanced techniques for using Reiki to solve problems and achieve goals.
  • the use of Crystals and Stones to enhance your Reiki Practice.
  • how to make a Reiki Grid that will continually send Reiki to yourself and others after it is activated.
  • an Aura Clearing Technique which allows you to remove negative energy from yourself and others.
  • the Reiki Symbol Meditation and the Reiki Moving Meditation.

ART is used for expanding the day to day use of Reiki and addressing many current healing issues. ART is most often taught with Reiki Master in a 3 day intensive.
Prerequisite for ART is Reiki II.

Third Degree or Reiki III/Master – In this degree we explore the fullest expression of healing the Self and others. In addition, this class is for those who wish to dedicate themselves to Reiki and teaching others this wonderful healing modality. The following will be taught:

  • two Tibetan symbols.
  • how to give Reiki attunements for Reiki I&II and ART and full Reiki Master.
  • information on setting up a healing practice.
  • developing curriculum.
  • teaching tips.
  • Over half the class time is used for practice so the student becomes confident in administering Reiki attunements.
  • The Healing attunement is given and received by all students.

Reiki III is used for healing of self and others on the spiritual level. Reiki III is taught in a two day intensive. Instruction is given on the Usui system of attunements as well as the Tibetan system. This class is a powerful healing experience.
Prerequisite for Master is ART.
